Airdrie is not just the place where I do business, it’s also where I choose to live and help build a better community. I try to use my time to the best of my ability to support the community which supports me and as such have been an active member of the Rotary Club of Airdrie since 2003, even holding the presidency in the past.
Rotary Club of Airdrie
We have consistently raised about $150,000 per year for local initiatives since I joined, something we are all proud of. I have been personally responsible for fund raising events for the Victims of Family Violence, and the club has various fund raising drives such as a Dragon’s Den that provides funding to not-for-profit groups (such as a high school group building robots for a competition, and another group who wanted to book a movie theatre so young filmmakers could have a festival of their own work).
ROTARY CLUB OF AIRDRIE
The Rotary Club has a four-way test we remind ourselves of:
“In all we think, do and say…”
Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build good will and better friendship?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
My intent is to incorporate these mottos into my everyday life as well as my business practices.
Building the Airdrie Community
Selling Airdrie real estate has allowed me to spread the good word of the vibrancy of our community, exhibiting the spirit that creates a welcoming environment for singles, families and retirees alike. The engagement I have seen within the community from established residents and new settlers In Airdrie has inspired me to continue pushing to help make Airdrie the sort of growing city everyone will want to call home.
